Description

Chase Easthouse is 15 years old and has been a member of the Rockvale Ramblers for 1 year. Some hobbies and interests include Hunting, Fishing, Camping, Shooting and other 4-H projects like, Archery.

This year, they are offering for sale, Boone, a Angus Steer. Boone is from Rockpile Ridge Ranch and currently on a Sweet feed mix and Grass Hay feed program.

Here's what Chase Easthouse has to say about Boone: This was my first year in 4-H and I was given the opportunity from a friend to show and sell market beef. This opportunity was an amazing experience and has truly taught me many things that I would not know without having done this. My steer is originally from South Dakota and was given to me by the owners of the Rockpile Ridge Ranch. While he was over there he was fed a diet of hay and calf crepe. Upon his arrival in Montana he was fed a diet of sweet feed made up of cracked corn, grain, and molasses. I have worked with him since early December bonding and training him. He has been on an all hay and sweet feed diet even between the move he made from one group of cows to the other. He has been around lots of different people learning how to stay calm in chaotic times and how to be gentle with younger children as well. He has been around many other types of animals such as horses and mules. This project has been a lot of fun and has given me lots of experience that I had not had. I had a few rough times with him but we have also had a lot of fun together. I look forward to doing this again and it has really helped me to stay grounded in times like we are having now.

Thank you very much for your time and I hope you stay safe during this pandemic. If the buyer wishes to give back the steer I will donate it to the Special K Ranch in the buyers name. Thank you for your interest in Boone!
