Built, born, and bred to calve on green grass as God intended!
Per Head
Dunning, Nebraska – 50 Bred Heifers calving April 21 for 60 days, weighing approximately 1,050–1,100 lbs and ready to ship ASAP. Dry conditions have forced a reduction in numbers, creating an opportunity on a very nice set of Black Angus bred heifers specifically built for an April–May–June calving window. This is the kind of load that is born, developed, and bred to calve on green grass as God intended.
This set is approximately 60% purchased and 40% home raised, with the purchased groups sourced from two neighboring ranches and blended into a uniform, reputation-quality offering. Genetics are predominantly Minert-Simonson Angus bloodlines, making up roughly 90% of the foundation. They are bred by natural service to low birth weight Black Angus bulls purchased locally in the Sandhills, selected for calving ease and maternal performance.
The heifers are being fed hay with approximately 3 lbs of DDG cake and maintained on a full mineral program, carrying good medium flesh and in ideal condition.
