Black Angus & Baldy Steer Calves | Wing, North Dakota View Watchlist >
Top-Cut, Reputation Calves, Angus Base With Hereford Influence
Per CWT
Wing, North Dakota – 100 Steer Calves at 550 lbs, shipping approximately November 15.
This is the top cut out of 150 head, offering a high-quality set of April-born calves backed by strong Volmer Angus genetics. The group is made up of approximately 50% Black Angus, 45% black baldies, and 5% red/white face, giving buyers a practical mix of maternal strength and hybrid vigor.
These calves come from medium-framed cows weighing 1,300–1,400 lbs, bred to Volmer Angus and Hereford bulls selected for muscling, performance, and growth. The result is a set of long, well-made calves with plenty of stretch and the kind of natural growth potential buyers look for. Hereford influence adds extra punch and performance while maintaining a solid Angus maternal base.
Calves are born in a tight 50-day calving window and present as a fairly even, uniform group with enough numbers behind them to make a good sort. They are raised on native pasture, in good, healthy condition, and ready to continue performing as they transition into the next phase.
Cattle are banded at birth and follow a calfhood and pre-weaning vaccination program. No implants. They are gathered early from two pastures, sorted, and weighed straight on the ground at the ranch.
This is a reputation set of calves with the genetics, kind, and background to perform in any feeding or grass program.
