Top-Cut Heifers With Frame, Structure, the Kind to go any Direction
Per CWT
Wing, North Dakota – 100 Heifer Calves at 525 lbs, shipping approximately November 15.
This is the sister group to the steer offering, sorted from the same 150 head, with only a few replacements kept. These April-born heifers are backed by strong Volmer Angus genetics and represent a high-quality, functional set of females.
The group is approximately 50% Black Angus, 45% black baldies, and 5% red/white face. They come from medium-framed cows weighing 1,300–1,400 lbs, bred to Volmer Angus and Hereford bulls selected for muscling, performance, and growth. The result is a set of long, well-made heifers with enough frame and structure to perform on grass or go on to make productive cows.
Born in a tight 50-day calving window, these heifers are a fairly even, uniform set with plenty of cattle behind them to make a good sort. They are raised on native pasture, in good, healthy condition, and carry the kind of look and build that translates into long-term productivity.
Heifers follow a calfhood and pre-weaning vaccination program and have not been implanted. They are gathered early from two pastures, sorted, and weighed straight on the ground at the ranch.
This is a strong set of heifers with the kind, genetics, and background to either develop into replacements or perform in a grass or feeding program.
