90 Black Angus & Black Baldy Steer Calves | 550 lbs | Ship Nov. 15
Real good set of high-quality feeder steers coming out of a practical Angus-based cow herd. These calves are 75% Black Angus, 20% black baldies, and a few red white face, giving you a mostly black-hided set with some added crossbred punch. They are sired by 21 Angus bulls and bred with performance, moderation, maternal strength, and practical ranch function in mind.
These steers will sort 90 head out of 105, giving buyers a strong top-end sort with quality behind them. They are medium-framed, hardy, tough, and built to go on and perform. Coming off 1,300–1,400 lb Angus-cross cows selected for conformation, maternal ability, milking ability, and moderate mature size, these calves should make the kind that stay practical but still feed with efficiency.
Calves are unweaned, grazing native dryland pasture, and carrying medium flesh in good, healthy condition. Bull calves were banded in June. They have had calfhood and pre-weaning vaccinations and have not been implanted.
They will ship around November 15, 2026. Weighing conditions will be an early morning gather, hauled 20 miles to New Town, and weighed on the ground straight. Weight variance is expected to be uneven at approximately +/- 20%, with a 7–12% sort usually needed.
