Berthold, ND – 85 Black Angus Steer Calves at 600 lbs
Real nice set of 100% home-raised Black Angus steer calves selling out of Berthold, North Dakota. These steers are 100% black-hided with approximately 10% black baldies, giving buyers a clean, uniform, high-demand kind of feeder calf with just enough baldy influence to add some hybrid vigor.
The calves will sell at approximately 600 lbs with a total net weight of 51,000 lbs. They are not weaned and will be coming straight off the cow after grazing native dryland pasture. This is a practical, ranch-raised set of calves that have been running out and developed naturally, with the kind of condition and background that should go on and perform.
They have had a solid calfhood and pre-weaning vaccination program, including Vision 7, Bovishield Gold, and injectable Dectomax. These calves have been implanted.
The cattle are expected to be fairly even with approximately +/- 15% weight variation. They will ship around October 21. Weighing conditions will be an early morning sort, loaded on the buyer’s truck, hauled 15 miles to Berthold, North Dakota, and weighed on the truck with a 1% shrink.
