Sheridan, Montana – 40 Older Cow-Calf Pairs, April–May calving, shipping approximately June 15.

This is a front-end sort of proven older cows, selected from the first 45 calvers out of a large 450-head cowherd. These are 8-year-old and older cows, but importantly they are the kind that bred early, calved early, and are still doing their job raising a calf. A practical opportunity to buy proven, productive cows with the work already done and calves on the ground. Will be larger portion Solid Mouths but expected to have some Broken mouths as well.

The offering is approximately 85% Black and Black Baldy with 15% Red and Red White Face pairs. Calves are tagged to match and are not branded, giving buyers flexibility depending on their marketing program. These cows are moderate to larger framed (1,400–1,500 lbs), carrying very good flesh and condition, and come from a high-quality, reputation cowherd known for practical ranch cattle.

These pairs represent the early, productive end of the older cows in the herd. Being sorted from the first 45 calvers out of 450 cows adds real value—these are fertile, maternal cows that still know how to raise a calf and stay in production. Bred to Black Angus and Simmental-influenced sires, expect calves with plenty of growth and performance.
