Selling out of a single location on a single shipping day, these calves offer buyers an opportunity to put together multiple uniform load lots of approximately 107 head each. These steers are 100% Angus sired out of cows carrying approximately two-thirds Hereford influence. The breeding program has been refined over decades to capture the strengths of both breeds—Hereford genetics contribute frame, bone, longevity, and growth, while Angus genetics add carcass quality, feed efficiency, and performance. The result is a set of practical, high-performing cattle with plenty of hybrid vigor.

Raised in the short-grass country surrounding Dell, they are typically on the greener side at shipping and have developed a strong reputation as excellent backgrounding and grass cattle. When carried through a yearling program, these steers have commonly come off grass weighing 850 to 950 lbs before continuing on to finish at weights exceeding 1,500 lbs. They have the frame and skeletal structure to keep growing while maintaining strong feeding performance.
