Watford City, North Dakota – 110 Black Angus & Angus Cross Steer Calves at 500 lbs, shipping October 8.
This offering features 110 ranch-raised steer calves that are predominantly black hided, with approximately 90% Black Angus and 10% Red Angus SimAngus cross. These calves are the practical, growth-oriented kind that fit well in grass, stocker, or backgrounding programs and have the genetics to continue performing through the feedyard.
The cattle offer a medium frame with a healthy, growthy look and enough variation to make a quality sort while maintaining an attractive, marketable load. Their Angus-based genetics provide the maternal backing, efficiency, and performance commercial cattlemen expect, while the SimAngus influence adds extra growth and muscle.
These calves have received both calfhood and pre-weaning vaccinations and will ship directly off the cow. At approximately 500 pounds, they are well suited for buyers looking to add value on grass before transitioning into a finishing program.
Cattle will be gathered early on shipping morning, hauled approximately 17 miles to the Watford City Stockyards, sorted, and weighed straight on the ground. This is a practical set of North Dakota calves with the quality and genetics to perform.
