Watford City, North Dakota – 110 Black Angus & Angus Cross Heifer Calves at 475 lbs, shipping October 8.
This offering features 110 ranch-raised heifer calves that are predominantly black hided, with approximately 90% Black Angus and 10% Red Angus SimAngus cross. These are practical, growth-oriented heifers that offer the flexibility to fit either a replacement program or a feeding operation. Their Angus-based genetics provide the maternal traits and efficiency buyers value, while the SimAngus influence adds growth and performance.
These heifers are medium framed with a healthy, growthy look and enough variation to make a quality sort while still presenting an attractive, marketable load. At 475 pounds, they are an excellent fit for grass programs with the potential to add value as they mature.
The cattle have received both calfhood and pre-weaning vaccinations and will ship directly off the cow. They have been developed under practical ranch conditions and are the kind that should transition well into a variety of management programs.
Cattle will be gathered early on shipping morning, hauled approximately 17 miles to the Watford City Stockyards, sorted, and weighed straight on the ground. This is a solid set of North Dakota heifers with the quality, genetics, and flexibility to appeal to both replacement and feeding buyers.
