Rochester, Minnesota – Estimated 45 Red Angus Broken Mouth Bred Cows weighing approximately 1,350 lbs, calving April 10–June 10, shipping September 15–20.
Commercial cow herd that was originally built from younger bred cows purchased off 1 ranch out of South Dakota and developed through years of proven production. These are honest, beautiful and functional females that have consistently raised calves and remained productive under commercial ranch conditions.
The herd is Red Angus and bred to Charolais bulls, resulting in a buckskin calf crop. These are the kind of calves that bring PREMIUMS in the feeder market.
- IMPORTANT: These cows will be mouthed at preg check. There are 65 total to sell, and expecting 45 broken mouths, and another 20 Solid Mouths.
The seller expects approximately one-third of the cows to have one productive calf remaining, while roughly two-thirds should have two or more productive calf crops ahead of them. They are easy-keeping, good-bodied cows with sound structure, quiet dispositions, and the kind that know how to raise a calf with very little extra input.
The cows are currently running on grass with calves at side and will be preg checked, mouthed, and calves weaned prior to shipping. They are carrying good flesh after a strong grazing season and will sell in sound working condition, ready to go to work for their next owner.
