This is a quality offering of 77 home-raised Black Angus heifer calves from the Kovanda Homestead program. Only a handful of replacement heifers are retained each year, selected as daughters from specific cows, leaving buyers with a large, high-quality offering of commercial heifers. Like the steers, these calves are shipping much earlier than normal due to drought conditions, creating an opportunity to purchase green, growth-oriented heifers with tremendous upside.

These heifers are backed by quality Angus genetics emphasizing muscling, performance, maternal strength, and carcass merit. Developed from moderate 1,300-1,400 pound cows, they are medium-framed, but deep-bodied females with the potential to excel in grass programs, feeding operations, or selective replacement programs. The heifers are expected to be a very even sort, with only a small number of replacements retained each year.
