Utica, Montana – 50 Black Angus Steer Calves at 625 lbs, shipping November 1–12.
This offering features 50 home-raised Black Angus steer calves that have been sorted from a larger group, with the lighter end removed to create a more uniform, marketable load. These are practical, medium-framed calves backed by quality Angus genetics and developed to perform in a variety of feeding programs.
The cow herd is built around quality Angus cattle selected to produce functional, growth-oriented calves with strong carcass potential. Expected to finish in the 1,400-1,500 lb range, these steers offer the combination of frame, consistency, and feeding performance commercial buyers are looking for.
Developed on native pasture and regrowth hay meadows, the calves carry a healthy medium flesh condition and have received a complete calfhood and pre-weaning vaccination program. Steers have been implanted and will be gathered the morning of shipping, hauled approximately five miles to the scales in Utica, and weighed on the ground with a 1% shrink.
