Park City, Montana – 20 Black Steer Calves at 650 lbs and 20 Black Heifer Calves at 550 lbs, shipping late October.
This mixed load of 40 home-raised calves offers buyers a quality set of growth-oriented cattle with excellent weigh-up performance. Approximately 90% of the offering is black hided with the balance red hided, creating an attractive package that fits a variety of feeding programs. Though this is a smaller offering, the calves have the quality and kind to make a solid mixed load.
These calves have received a complete calfhood and pre-weaning vaccination program and will ship as unweaned calves in healthy, medium flesh condition. Their frame and genetics give them the ability to continue adding pounds efficiently through stocker or feedyard programs.
Cattle will be hauled to the ConneXion Livestock Scale at Park City and weighed straight on the ground. Buyers have consistently been pleased with the weigh-up on cattle marketed this way, making it a valuable feature of this offering.
