Description

Rochester, Minnesota – 70 Black Angus Broken Mouth Bred Cows weighing approximately 1,350 lbs, calving April 10–June 10, shipping September 15–20.

This offering features 70 Broken mouth bred cows from a long-standing commercial cow herd built from younger bred cows originally purchased out of South Dakota and developed through their most productive years. These are practical, easy-keeping females with the experience and longevity to continue generating value in a commercial cow-calf operation. They are the kind that stay in the herd because they consistently raise good calves and breed back.

The herd is primarily Black Angus and Black Baldie with approximately 10–15% red-hided influence. The cows are bred by natural service to two- and three-year-old Black Angus bulls along with yearling Charolais bulls, giving buyers the opportunity for a calf crop expected to be approximately half black hided and half Charolais influenced. This cross offers an excellent balance of maternal genetics, growth, and hybrid vigor.

These cows have been sorted by age, Seller expects 1/3 to have one more calf in them and two-thirds to have two or more years of production left. They are functional, easy-fleshing cows with good body, sound structure, quiet dispositions, and the ability to thrive in a straightforward commercial program. Calving runs from April 10 through June 10. Running on grass with calves at side, they will be preg checked, mouthed, and calves will be weaned prior to shipping.

Carrying good flesh after an excellent grazing season, these cows are in sound working condition and ready to go to work for their next owner. If you're looking for honest, low-maintenance commercial cows with proven production and plenty of life left.
