This is a strong set of 100% Black Angus steer calves, representing the top cut from a group of 150. The May and June-born calves offer buyers a uniform set with plenty of room to grow and a genetic base focused on performance, carcass quality, and practical feeding value.
The cow herd is 100% Angus-cross, with moderate to large-framed cows generally running 1,400–1,500 lbs. The program is focused on producing big, high-quality calves, with sire selection centered on muscling and performance. These genetics give the steers a good combination of growth, carcass potential, and feeding ability.
At 500 lbs, these calves are a versatile weight for backgrounding, grass, or moving into a feeding program. They have been grazing native dryland pasture and are in good, healthy condition with normal flesh.
