Set of crossed up steers coming out of big country in western Montana. These steers are long, green, and have the heterosis for growth!

  • 60% Black Angus Beefmaster Cross out of Beefmaster cows and Angus Sires
  • 20% Charolais Cross out of Black Angus Cows and Charolais Bulls 
  • 20% Red Beefmasters, Some are out of Black cows, most are beefmaster
    • Beefmaster Cattle - The Beefmaster is an American composite beef cattle breed founded on the "Six Essentials": weight gain, conformation, milking ability, fertility, hardiness, and disposition. Breed makeup is approximately:
      • 1/3 Hereford for frame and bone structure, muscling and mothering ability, disposition
      • 1/3 Shorthorn for milking ability, beef quality and marbiling
      • 1/3 Brahman for hardiness, fertility, resistance to environmental factors and confirmation
