Description

Steer calves known for their calm disposition and impressive weight gain ability. The herd features home-raised heifers out Angus cows for 14 years, and recently enhanced with Hereford heifers to achieve F1 hybrid vigor. These low-maintenance cattle boast a high reproductive rate and exceptional maternal traits. Bulls come from Ballou Angus and Quarter Circle Lazy U Angus chosen for there disposition, weaning weights, and maternal traits/ milking ability calving ease.

Cattle are summered on a grazing association with a fresh pasture rotation every two months. They are gathered the night before sorting, then hauled 15 miles to a certified scale with pipe corrals and a gravel semi load-out.

The 2022 calves, born in March, average 610 lbs, while the 2023 calves, born in early April, average 560 lbs.
