Alyssa Herden-Thormahlen is 18 years old and has been a member of the Belfry FFA for 6 years. Some hobbies and interests include Rodeo and Showing cows and other 4-H projects like, Breeding Beef.

This year, they are offering for sale, AJax, a Black Angus steer. AJax is Home-Raised from Herden Farms and currently on a Free Choice hay and corn feed program.

Here's what Alyssa Herden-Thormahlen has to say about AJax: Ajax was born on 2/27/2019 to a 3 year old cow. His mom was purchased from a group of Vermillion cows in 2018. Ajax was her second calf. He was weaned in the end of October 2019. From October until January 11th, 2020 he was on hay and 5 pounds of corn per day. In January I gradually started increasing his corn until he reached full feed. He weighed 705 pounds at steer weigh on January 11th, 2019. On 6/18 I weighed him and he was weighing 1145 pounds. He is a black Angus steer with lots of great features. He has a nice round rump and a very sweet personality. We feed our steers free choice on hay and corn. We always have great compliments from the butchers on how nice the meat is on our beef.

Thank you for your interest in AJax!
