Feed Program
Cattle are run on grass with full salt / mineral program in late May. Grass, Grass/Alfalfa, and some tested Barely Hay with protein tubs and salt / mineral blocks fed when needed throughout winter.

Description

2020 Cows - Bought as 2 year old Heifers. Gentle, handled extensively with dogs on foot, atv, and horseback.

Cows (Coming 5 year olds)  - Bred to KG Ranch Black Angus Bulls and Feddes Polled Hereford  Bulls. Selected for calving ease, temperament, weaning weights, and heterosis. Angus bulls used for retained black heifers, Hereford bulls used for F1 baldy replacement heifers for sale. 33% Angus, 66% Hereford.

 Purchased as 2 Year old Heifer pairs from Milligan Canyon Ranch, Three Forks, MT.

Cattle are gentle and raise a big calf. Very maternal and handled extensively with and without dogs. Calves are tagged, banded, given Alpha CD and MUSE at birth out in pasture. Great mothers that raise a great calf and it is extremely rare to assist in any calving. Steer calves born 3/15-4/15 averaged 640 lbs on 11/1/24. Combined Heifer and Cow fertility for 2024 was over 94%.

Full vaccine and mineral program.

Bulls out on 6/6/24 for 60 days. Exact calving dates provided by Intermountain Vet at initial preg test on 10/1/24.
