Description

Weaned on March 13th. Calves come in to a clean lot with bunk. Calves are feed long stem grass hay and pellets/wheat is introduced lightly until ball is out of calves. Then, chopped feed and pellets/wheat is introduced more.

Open Gate Simmentals is where most our bulls come from. Some of our bulls are homeraised A'Id out of Trustee, Blackhawk, Hook's Eagle.

Over the years our program has honed in on quality. Quality maternal cows, quality breeding bulls, quality grazing, quality vaccine program, quality feeding, and quality management overall. We're improving our cow herd every year.

We will not be sorting off any replacements.

Sim/angus cross. Almost all straight black with a few broc calves and a couple reds.
