2-6 YO Black Angus Cow Calf Pairs for Sale at Chester, MT
Efficient, calving ease and easy fleshing cows. Pharo Genetics program.

Here's a real nice set of Pairs coming from Northern Montana. All the cattle are ranch raised. This was a registered herd that produced their own bulls for many years and have built a really nice herd from that foundation. We then switched over to a commercial herd to adapt to our style of grazing.
These cattle are selling because the grass and moisture look short and they need to de-stock to fit their grass availability.
We prepare the ranch with the amount of cattle that we have grazing days for. A good stockpile of grass in the winter is what we plan for. We bale graze to improve areas for next year. Our mineral program is Redmonds salt mixed with a baking soda/condition combination. Also provided to the cows is apple cider vinegar. Cows receive preg guard and Vision 8. Calves receive Alpha CD at birth.
We raise good hearty cattle that handle any terrain and weather. They will hike the butte for grass and have their baby up and nursing in the worst of weather. They acclimate well to the conditions and utilize any and all forage in front of them. The cows are kind but excellent mothers.
All of our heifers are kept on the ranch every year. We then let the fertility of the group show. Our ideal heifer is one that will raise a calf from year one and breed up. Our heifers have a short breeding window with a high ratio of heifers to bulls.
The Cow herd, being closed for generations, are highly adaptive to our region and black hided calves tend to get the best premium. All the cows are bred to Pharo Cattle Company Bulls. Calving ease is unmatched. Their fleshing ability is top notch. They throw great maternal traits back into the herd.
