Description

Chester, MT – 110 Steers at 450, ship October 16

A rare offering of lightweight 100% Black Angus steer calves, averaging 450 lbs and sorted from 135 head.

Raised out of a moderate-framed Angus cow herd, bred for efficiency, fleshing ability, and maternal performance. Calves are great for long-fed grower or yearling grass programs, with genetics focused on uniformity, carcass quality, and grid premiums.

This ranch has built a reputation for raising hardy, mountain-bred cattle that thrive in any environment. Cows are excellent mothers, with the ability to raise calves in rugged terrain and weather extremes. Calving runs about 60 days (mid-April to mid-June), ensuring a practical, uniform set with genetics to grow.
