Feed Program

Cows and calves turned out mid may on irrigated pasture for entire season. Calves are weaned for 3-4 days in close up corrals and fed dry long grass hay, and then turned out on mixed alfalfa/grass irrigated pastures until shipping.

A mixed load of top-quality, weaned calves from a program that does things right. Calves have consistently weighed in the 610–655 lb range in past years, and this set is right on target again.

Weaned on long hay for a few days before being turned onto pasture, these cattle are healthy, hard, and settled. The hard work of weaning is over, and they’re ready to go to work on day one without a hitch.

The cow herd is made up of practical 1300-lb range cows, bred to sires chosen for growth, muscle shape, and confirmation. The result is a calf with the frame to grow easily past 1400 lbs, while holding condition and staying sound.
