Description

POWERFUL group of steers from the Great Dragging Y Ranch! These big country cattle are part of a well-developed program, from a  moderately framed Black Angus and Black Baldy cow herd, sired by Charolais & CharX Red Angus bulls from 5L. The Draggin Y fed the Beefmaster crosses last year, they finished at 1580# and gained right with the CharX's. Hearty cattle with no death loss.

These cattle have been retained and fed by the owner for 6 of the last 7 years, consistently proving their quality. The Steers routinely gain 4+ lbs per day and can feed up to 1550-1600 lbs or more if needed. This is a unique opportunity to own some of the best feeding cattle in the world.

All the cattle are sorted for size and kind. 50% CharX are Black-nosed Charolais or buckskin in coloration, 50% Angus Beefmaster cross light-fleshed, and easy-muscling. These steers are running out on rugged high-elevation native pastures. Delivering at a time and place of the world where it's not unusual to have snow and or a little ice on the creek.

In a market where you need cattle to perform, have the uniformity and product the packer wants, we are proud to be working with Dragging Y crew to bring these to you!
